Professional Designations

At Cedar Mill Group, Inc, we believe education is one key to continued success. We are constantly seeking opportunities to learn about new technologies and processes that can help make your building and remodeling project a better experience. One of the ways we achieve this is through the various National Association of Home Builders designation courses.

An NAHB Designation says a lot about you. Professional designations offer excellent opportunities to improve your skills, advance your career, and be recognized for your commitment to professional growth. NAHB has the most targeted curriculum, accomplished teachers and widely respected education opportunities in the business. (www.nahb.org)

The following designations are being sought after by various members of the Cedar Mill Group team and can also be found on the National Association of Home Builders website.

Certified Green Professional (CGP)

The National Association of Home Builders' Certified Green Professional designation recognizes builders, remodelers and other industry professionals who incorporate green building principles into homes- without driving up the cost of construction. Class work leading to the designation provides a solid background in green building methods, as well as the tools to reach consumers, from the organization leading the charge to provide market-driven green building solutions to the home building industry.

Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR)

Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) is an exclusive professional designation designed to emphasize business management skills as the key to a professional remodeling operation.

Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist (CAPS)

The Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation program teaches the technical, business management, and customer service skills essential to competing in the fastest growing segment of the residential remodeling industry: home modifications for the aging-in-place.

Certified New Hampshire Builder®

We are proud to announce that Geoffrey Martin and Cedar Mill Group Inc. has become a Certified New Hampshire Builder for the 2007-2009 membership.

The Home Builders and Remodelers Association of New Hampshire (HBRANH) established the CNHB program (CNHB) as a part of its long standing construction industry education program.

All CNHB participants agree to follow a strict ethical standard in business relationships with consumers and agree to participate in ongoing continuing education in various builder related subjects, including customer service, business management, construction contracts, building codes and building technology.

Through participation in the program, builders, remodelers, and subcontractors seek nationally recognized professional designations including Graduate Master Builder (GMB), Certified Graduate Builder (CGB) and Certified Graduate Remodelor (CGR).

The above professional designations are products of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and offer excellent opportunities for professionals to improve their skills, advance their career, and be recognized for commitment to professional growth.

All CNHB members must sign an agreement stating that they will adhere to the CNHB Code of Conduct and Ethics and all of the policies of the Program. Violation of the Code of Conduct and Ethics will be grounds for dismissal from the Program. (www.hbranh.com)
